✔️Securing $72.5 million in annual funding for the National Sea Grant Program.
✔️Tripling funding for the Long Island Sound Program, delivering $2.57 million in grants to revitalize the Sound and securing $26.7 million for the National Estuary Program.
✔️Fighting for long overdue fishing reforms to revitalize Long Island’s saltwater fishing industry.
✔️Fighting to preserve Plum Island, securing House passage of 5 of his proposals to preserve its natural beauty, diverse wildlife and ecosystem, and delivering $1.5 million in federal funds to stablize its lighthouse.
✔️Celebrating Long Island wineries, by introducing legislation to highlight the need to distinguish world famous Long Island wine with proper labeling.
✔️Supporting local family farms, by spearheading an initiative supporting the next generation of farmers and breaking down barriers that hinder the next generation’s ability to feed our nation.

✔️Saving the Land and Water Conservation Fund and establishing a permanent tax deduction for conservation easements.
✔️Ushering the Tick-Borne Disease Research, Accountability and Transparency Act into law to advance research on Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses.
✔️Securing $8.3 billion in funding to combat the heroin and opioid abuse epidemic though prevention, enforcement, treatment and education.
✔️Calling for a permanent, all water route to mitigate aircraft noise over peaceful East End neighborhoods.
✔️ Jumpstarting improvements at local mail facilities to improve delivery time and accuracy, while fighting to continue six day and door delivery for residents.
✔️ Assisting East End veterans by expanding services and hours at the Riverhead VA Community Based Outpatient Center (CBOC).
