Congressman Lee Zeldin’s mobile office stops in Mastic to talk to voters
The Mastic Fire Department was Congressman Lee Zeldin's mobile office on Monday where he talked to his constituents one-on-one.
Zeldin has hosted these mobile office hours for several years since he was in the Senate. He says it's a good opportunity to bring his office to the constituents and hear about important issues.
Zeldin says hundreds of bills were passed in the house the first half of this legislative session and dozens passed the Senate and were signed by the president. These included the G.I. bill legislation to improve the Department of Veterans Affairs and bills having to do with national security.
Congressman Zeldin says tax reform is the next high profile item on his agenda and also trying to secure funding for a number of other programs before the end of the year.
Mastic is just one stop of many for Congressman Zeldin's mobile office hours.
