Rep. Lee Zeldin Issues Statement on 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz

January 27, 2015
Press Release

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, C- NY-1) today released the following statement on the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz:

“Today, on the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, Americans join with the international community to honor the millions of innocent lives that were senselessly lost during the Holocaust and pay tribute to the survivors, who continue to share their stories, ensuring we never forget the grave tragedy that took place, despite those who continue to deny it.

The spread of hatred and anti-Semitism around the globe provides us with the opportunity to reflect on the past in hopes of preventing this type of evil from reoccurring, not only within the Jewish community, but for all races and religions.”
