Rep. Lee Zeldin Questions VA Over Denver Hospital Project $500 Million Over Budget
Washington, DC – On Wednesday, January 21, 2015, Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, C-NY-1), member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, participated in his first committee hearing as Congressman.
The hearing focused on the clearly broken VA construction process where there has consistently been years of incessant delays and cost increases to major VA construction projects across the country. Yesterday's Veterans Affairs Committee hearing was focused most specifically on the VA Hospital being built in Denver, Colorado, which is currently $500 million over budget.
