PATCHOGUE, NY - Today, Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), member of the House Financial Services Committee, issued the following statement urging the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to change this year’s tax filing deadline from April 15 to July 15 and to waive interest and fees for individuals paying late in light of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak:
 
“The IRS should change the tax filing deadline for Americans this year from April 15 to July 15 due to the impact of the Coronavirus, and waive all interest and fees for those who need to pay late.”
