WASHINGTON - On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) met with Fred Sganga, Executive Director of the Long Island State Veterans Home and Legislative Officer of the National Association of State Veterans Homes, and Jonathan C. Spier, Deputy Executive Director of the Long Island State Veterans Home, to discuss how we can increase efficiencies at State Veterans Homes and provide these caretakers with the funding and resources they need to ensure Long Island veterans receive the care they have earned. Last Congress, Congressman Zeldin ushered into law his legislation (H.R.1005/S.324) to help severely disabled veterans on Long Island, by expanding access to Adult Day Health Care at the Long Island State Veterans Home and nationwide.
