Press Release

PATCHOGUE, NY - Today, Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) released the following statement after a new Times Union report this evening highlighting that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo prioritized COVID-19 testing for his family members to be conducted by State Health Department officials at private residences and had their tests moved to the front of the line at Wadsworth State Lab at the beginning of the outbreak of coronavirus:

“The old adage ‘the higher you climb, the harder you fall’ is especially true when, as is the case with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the climb is up a mountain built on death and cover-ups, intimidation, abuse and deceit. This latest report of prioritizing his family members for COVID testing at private residences conducted by state Health Department officials and having their tests moved to the front of the line at Wadsworth adds to a very long list of reasons why Cuomo’s Gotta Go.”

Congressman Zeldin also posted the following tweet here

“As if we needed any more reasons why Andrew Cuomo should immediately resign in disgrace, this @timesunion report highlights how NY State Health Dept officials were sent to private residences to conduct preferential COVID testing on Cuomo’s relatives.”
