Rep. Zeldin Secures 80,000 Piece PPE Donation from Tunnel to Towers for Local EMS & Fire Depts
PATCHOGUE, NY - Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), member of the bipartisan Congressional Coronavirus Task Force, secured a donation of 80,000 pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gowns, masks, face shields and hand sanitizer, from the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and worked with Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and Suffolk County Legislator Rudy Sunderman to deliver the PPE today to North Patchogue Fire Department, South Country Ambulance Company and Suffolk County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services (FRES). The donation to FRES will be distributed from there to several other local EMS and Fire Departments.
“Our communities’ local emergency services are working hard to finish the fight against coronavirus on the frontline, and we must ensure they have the ability to do their critical jobs safely and effectively,” said Congressman Zeldin. “Thanks to the generosity of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and all levels of government working together, they have the vital PPE resources they need to finish the fight.”
