Rep. Zeldin Sends Letter to Pres. Biden Urging Approval of Individual Assistance for Suffolk County
PATCHOGUE, NY - Today, Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) urged President Joe Biden to immediately approve the State of New York’s request for Individual Assistance for Suffolk County to help its residents overcome the damages to homes, businesses and public infrastructure caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ida. On September 6, 2021, the Biden Administration approved Individual Assistance for Bronx, Kings, Queens, Richmond and Westchester Counties
“As a Member of Congress representing the First Congressional District of New York, which is located within Suffolk County, I urge you to approve the request for Individual Assistance for property damage to homes and local businesses in Suffolk County as quickly as possible, so the federal government can provide funding and assistance for my constituents who are experiencing the consequences of the remnants of Hurricane Ida; including, but not limited to, severe flooding damage to their dwellings, businesses and other property,” Congressman Zeldin wrote in part.
