Rep. Zeldin Statement on Supreme Court Striking Down Biden Administration’s Private Sector Vaccine Mandate
WASHINGTON - Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) just issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling against the implementation of President Biden’s “vaccine-or-test” rule for private businesses of 100 or more employees:
“The Supreme Court stopping President Biden’s vaccine mandate for private businesses is the correct and just ruling. President Biden, referring to the COVID vaccine, said in December 2020, ‘No, I don’t think it should be mandatory. I wouldn’t demand it be mandatory.’ Just months later, he flip-flopped his position and imposed an invasive vaccine mandate on businesses with 100 or more employees.
“This ruling is just another example of the need for the Biden Administration and Democrats in Congress and at the state and local levels to put aside the fear mongering, scare tactics, threats, fines, mandates and firings, and start respecting medical freedom, prioritizing access to vaccines and therapeutics, and allowing Americans to return to normal life.”
