Rep. Zeldin Statement on Taliban’s Request to Address the UN
WASHINGTON - Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a United States Army veteran, just released the following statement in response to the Taliban’s request to address world leaders at the United Nations this week:
“This must be an absolute non-starter, especially during the 20th anniversary month of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Terrorists are never welcome to New York City, and that definitely includes the Taliban’s request for this week. The Biden Administration must emphatically and immediately reject this request.”
Congressman Zeldin also tweeted his thoughts on the Taliban’s request here.
